Today, its more important than ever to monitor our kids online. There are so many threats, from cyber bullying, sending/receiving inappropriate pictures, online predators, and the list goes on. Parents always want the best for their kids, and its up to all of us to protect them from the dangers like these.

Did you know that...

  • ...cyber bullying is estimated to affect up to 50% of teens, with over half of them not telling their parents?1
  • ...over 66% of teens admitted to sending nude or semi-nude photos to their friends?2
  • ... In 2006, over 73% of the victims targeted by online predators were between the ages of 12-15?3
  • ..."POS" stands for "Parent Over Shoulder"?
  • ..."A/S/L" is a request for the child's age, sex and location?
You've read the headlines. Children across the country are falling victim to cyber bullying, online predators and a host of other social networking dangers. One embarrassing photo or wrong conversation could ruin a child's social, academic, and professional future.

Your children want to have fun online and express themselves with some privacy. You want them to be safe. With TrueCare's trusted service, you're both happy. The monitoring service helps parents protect children against a wide variety of online threats.

Unlike other monitoring services, TrueCare makes everything easy, from setup to monitoring. There's no need to install any software, and you can quickly add multiple kids to your account. TrueCare even provide resources to help you talk with your children, maximizing safety while minimizing eye rolls and slammed doors.
TrueCare uses a customizable database of over 500 keywords that could be related to potential dangers (including drugs, alcohol, violence, depression, bullying and sex). So you only get relevant e-mail alerts, without having to wade through hundreds of harmless posts. And TrueCare's monitoring service works no matter where your children are accessing their social networks, even from a cell phone.
Plus, TrueCare:
  • Allows you to view the photos and videos your child has posted or been tagged in
  • Alerts you when your child friends someone identified by TrueCare as an adult
  • Notifies you when your child friends someone he has no common friends with
  • Provides you with the public profiles of your child's friends. With a click, you can investigate friends by accessing their public records
  • Provides access to a dictionary of common slang and abbreviations, like "POS" (Parent Over Shoulder) and "A/S/L" (Age/Sex/Location)
Whether your children love Facebook, MySpace, Twitter or YouTube, TrueCare can help you protect them. Visit the TruCare website so you can try TrueCare free for 60 days. After all, child safety is one topic that's definitely worth talking about.

So far I do like how easy setup is. The multiple ways it protects kids on a variety of sites. The only thing I don't like is you do need to know your child's passwords and user-names. Probably because you do not download any software, its all done on their secure website. All in all, I think this is a small investment that is worth it. Share your thoughts below on TruCare! I would love to hear from you!
